BANDUNG TRIP WITH FRIENDS! 4D3N FULL ITINERARY + BUDGET

H I  I N T E R N E T  P E O P L E !

This time around, I'll be blogging about my recent trip to Bandung, Indonesia with my friends! This post is gonna be a short one as I'll be uploading a travel vlog soon enough on my youtube channel (make sure you're subscribed to get notifications from me!!)

DAY ONE

Upon arrival, we wasted no time and went straight ahead to Pasar Baru to get some shopping done. At Pasar Baru, you'll find TONS AND TONS AND TONS of stuff like telekung, jubah, baju kebaya, delicacies, shawls - just name it! I didn't take many pictures dekat sini because it was so hectic and humid inside in the place plus my friends and I were too busy bargaining around hee.

I bought a corak batik-telekung here for only rm30!

For lunch, we had ayam penyet (which is my ultimate favorite tbh) at Ayam Penyet Surabaya. I had the Ayam Penyet Sambal Balado which is tad bit spicy to my liking as compared to the one that I'm used to in Malaysia but it was still just as good!! PS: Thanks Shikin for the treat! ;)

After checking in to the hotel, we went for another shopping trip at Rumah Mode. THIS PLACE IS A MUST GO IF YOU'RE A SHOPPING LOVER! Rumah Mode is a factory outlet cum cafe. The items are priced averagely around rm30 and above. You can definitely find some hidden gem in this place. I think i spent most of my shopping at Rumah Mode because it has the least out-dated fashion pieces as compared to the other factory outlets in Bandung.

For dinner, we stopped at the Stone Cafe which was recommended by our pak supir. The place was located at a higher ground which had breezy air and a nice view. Personally, the food here is so-so (not really worth it for the price) however if you plan to lepak-lepak, have some drinks and enjoy the view + live band, then this is the place for you.

Believe me or not, most of our group shots looked like this

DAY TWO
We decided to dedicate our second day for sight-seeing and a bit more shopping! On this day, we started our day at The Lodge, Maribaya. Tbh, Maribaya wasn't in our initial plan, however due to time constraint, we chose Maribaya over Danau since it was more convenient and closer to the city. The Lodge Maribaya offers a lot of exciting "points" for you to take pictures. Don't be fooled by the hot air balloon, para-gliding and zip bike activities. Like I mentioned, the "activities" you see are basically "points" for you take pictures. You can acah-acah naik hot air balloon, para-gliding but don't expect you'd be doing the real thing ahaha! Semua tu propaganda je sis, however it's still a nice place to visit for the cooling weather and panoramic view.

Afterwards, we decided to visit Maribaya's Natural Hot Springs. Personally I wouldn't have gone to this place because the scenery is quite similar to The Lodge, except this one has a waterfall and you can rendam kaki at the hot springs.

For our second meal of the day, we tried some local and traditional Indonesian food at Kg Daun. Among the dishes we ordered were Nasi Timbel dgn Ayam Goreng, Nasi Ayam Panggang Madu and Serabai Pisang Keju etc. It was my first time trying Nasi Timbel (thanks to Puteri) and i was in love!! The taste is a bit similar to nasi ayam penyet except for the side dishes. Overall, this place is da bomb if you want to try out some traditional indonesian food + amazing view (we had our lunch tepi sungai kot) !!

As for dinner, we wanted to try some steak as suggested by Puteri's cousin. We spent an average of rm25 per person which is a bit pricey but it was worth it cause the dishes were great! Mungkin sebab we all were very hungry atm lmao

DAY THREE
After having our breakfast, we went to Kartika Sari to get some local delicacies. This is a must-stop place every time I go to Bandung. My personal faves are their almond cookies and baked brownies. Do take note that the food items will roughly last you around 1-2 weeks as they don't use any preservatives in their food.

Since most of us are thrill-seekers, we decided to have some fun at Bandung's amusement park, Trans Studio. For a ticket priced under RM100, this is a place you would not want to miss when in Bandung. The amusement park can be divided into three different zones and the rides are mostly catered for teenagers and adults. Personally, I enjoyed the Yamaha Racing Coaster and Jelajah by the most. You can easily finish all the rides in the park in a matter of 3-4 hours.

Afterwards, we went to the mall located just beside the amusement park and had lunch at Pepper's Lunch. I ordered the Hamburger+ Steak with Curry Sauce + Cheese + Egg Rice Set and it was 5/5!!!

We decided to spend our evening at a highly-raved spa called Marianty's Spa. Just like the reviews I've seen on TripAdvisor, the experience did not disappoint. I decided to pamper myself with some mani-pedi and hair spa which were at a quite cheap price point. I spent around rm100 for both packages (which you definitely can't get this price in Malaysia).

For our last dinner in Bandung, we strolled around the streets near our hotel and stumbled upon a restaurant called Warunk Upnormal. The highlights of this place were their customization of indomie dishes. I decided to try their signature dish which was the Indomie Warunk Upnormal -  indomie noodles paired with cheese sauce and a bit of sambal. if you know me, I'm definitely the type of person who enjoys having instant noodles with anything cheese on it. However, this dish did not meet up my expectations as the cheese sauce (more like gravy) was a bit bland to my liking + the sambal did not go well with the taste of the cheese. In terms of interior decor, Warunk Upnormal is killing it! The place is well lit with aesthetic vibes, perfect for taking your instagram shots.

post spa faces ((we look so tired))

So that's was pretty much the highlights of my trip! Here's the full itinerary and budget estimation of my whole trip in case if you want to plan a trip to Bandung with your friends hehe! Watch out for this space as I'll be updating it once I've uploaded my travel vlog.
